I am a new fan of kombucha! Not so much of the store bought stuff but the homemade brew! Funny that the brewing of this tea, for me, included a lesson in patience and unconditional love. After wondering about it for some time.

..I saw free SCOBYs at the Catalyst Magazine booth at Salt Lake City's LIVE GREEN Festival. It wasn't for another 2 weeks that I finally got my own. I brewed and as it took longer than usual to form I began to worry that I'd done something wrong. Then it began to look
ugly and I really thought something was wrong. After almost 3 weeks...it was perfect! I mixed a 1/2 glass with a matching 1/2 glass of freshly juiced apples, lemons (organic w/ skins) and ginger....yumm! I am now making my second batch and very excited to create new flavor combinations.
