I am jumping into spring like a child on pogo stick. I encourage you to join me for a LIFESTYLE change! I will be inviting everyone to play on purpose, move more and eat more consciously. I wholeheartedly believe that the greatest benefits of laughter come in concert with living well. This message is the inspiration and passionate purpose behind my company, WHOLE BODY LAUGHTER.
Over the next few months I'll be enjoying a long overdue personal time out, doing a spring detox (yep it's true) as well as getting in shape for a 4 mile obstacle course for charity (yipes)!
First up, LAUGHTER: I am practicing the art of PLAY. Most folks think I play a lot and I do (by most folks' standards). But I personally would love to play MORE! I started of easy by having doggy & me park days. I'd walk Sandy, my 15 yo golden retriever to the park, have a picnic (which includes both people & pet snacks) and read at leisure. We'd also romp, when she wasn't playing crouching-canine/hardly-hunter. Next, I'd like to participate in a few community play dates. I want to pick fun places to go and simply tell folks when, where...no big organizing just show up if ya want. I'll most likely blast it on my Whole Body Laughter page on facebook.
Second, FOOD:
A cleanse...whoever thought I'd be doing a cleanse? Then again, how can one's whole body laugh when it's full o' junk? So, how does "one" get started? Check out, 25 Ways To Detox Your Life * There's something there for just about everyone, should you decide to give it a go. I'll most likely be shooting the poo ;D about my experience too via blog posts, fb & twitter comments.
Third, MOVEMENT: This section is twofold. I will be strengthening my spiritual practice and... I've registered for the Dirty Girl Run, a 4 mile muddy messy obstacle course, to raise $$$ for gynecological cancer research. The Huntsman Cancer Institute is throwing this girl-meets-mud event on July 2nd. Click here for more details.
Love yourself, Play on purpose,
Karen
